For tradies and anyone working alone
Tap when you get on site and say how long you'll be. If the timer runs out and you don't answer, MateCheck texts and calls the people you choose with where you are.
Launching soon in Australia and New Zealand. No card needed to join the list.
Demo runs fast: one second here is one minute on site.
How it works
Add two or three people: your partner, a mate, the office. They don't need the app.
Site address, how long you'll be, and a note like "roof space, east side".
Your phone buzzes: "Still OK?" One tap says yes, or adds 15 minutes.
Your mates get a text and a call with your location, the job note and your last check-in.
Why it exists
The lone-worker apps out there are made for big employers with a control room, and they charge per seat. If you work for yourself, your safety net is the people who'd notice you didn't come home.
MateCheck gives them a heads-up the moment something's off, and keeps a dated log of every check-in and check-out you can show a head contractor.

Early access
We're building MateCheck now. Join and we'll email you when it's ready, with the founding price held for you.
One email when it launches, and maybe one or two questions before. No spam, and your details aren't shared.
Questions
No. MateCheck alerts the people you choose. It doesn't call emergency services for you and isn't a monitored control room. If you're hurt, call your local emergency number.
Your last location and job details are saved when you start, so your mates get them even if your phone drops out. The alert is sent from our servers, not your phone.
No. They get a normal text message and a phone call.
You set the timer per job. One tap on, one tap off, and you can add time with a tap when a job runs long.
It gives you a way to raise the alarm and a dated log of check-ins. Whether that's enough for your situation depends on the work and your local rules.
